DogsNSW Open Day
|
Dogs NSW held their second annual Open Day on Saturday 11th June at their grounds at Erskine Park.
The aim of the day was to showcase all the sports available to Dogs NSW members and to provide a venue for advertising the many dog clubs. There was also a mini “pet expo” with many stalls.
Our dogs ranged from Eddie’s Jack Russells to Bex’s Great Dane - a real crowd favourite! I would like to thank all the members who helped on the day, especially Pat Walsh - cakes and courses, Leanne Davis - courses, Liz Yuill - courses, Tanja and Kirsten King for organising the running order and Paul Enriquez for his commentary. One of the highlights for me was watching Kirsten - our youngest handler - run Elga’s young Belgian Shepherd, Heidi. She did a great job. I hope she continues with her dog training - she has a natural affinity with the dogs and has learnt to handle them beautifully.
We were able to provide many of the spectators with information about agility training clubs in their areas and hopefully many of those will become ADC members! Robyn Jones
President.
