QLD Floods

The club donated $1,000 to the Queensland RSPCA for the good of all animals following the devastation of the floods in Queensland. Here's their response:

Australia is renowned for its reputation of helping out our mates in times of trouble.   This was never more evident than with the devastating floods and the cyclone which affected almost everyone in some way in Queensland, and across Australia.  What you did for the animalduring this terrible time was remarkable.

Your generous support contributed to life-saving rescues, transport of injured animals, feed drops to isolated locations and continues to aid the co-ordination of displaced animals.  Your support also assisted our State Operations Centre in Brisbane which was also inundated with flood waters, and also the reopening of our Northern Queensland shelters, evacuated due to cyclone Yasi.

Your response to this natural disaster demonstrated the true spirit of mate-ship and the humanity in the care and rehabilitation of our pets, livestock and wildlife.

Thank you for being there for us, but most importantly thank you for being there for all creatures great and small ..... thank you for being a “good mate”.

Yours sincerely

Mark Townend, CEO RSPCA QLD
